Ok we have our own "love thang" so I feel I can ask this without getting flamed.

Has anyone actually SAID things to you about the amount of weight you've lost or is that YOUR perception?

I find that sometimes we subconsciously perpetuate these comments (present company included) in the way we talk about ourselves. I know I've been guilty of trying to elicit people telling me "you look fine. Don't lose anymore. Where would it come from???"

For me, those comments meant I was no longer big. I couldn't see it with my own eyes so I had to evoke it from others.

Not saying that's the case with you but food for thought.

well it's about turning down food that is being offered to me.

"no thank you I'm watching what I'm eating although those homemade muffins your wife made look lovely"

Yep...you're perpetuating. Maybe not intentionally but you are.

Simply say, "no thanks." The other person will probably assume you don't like them but oh well that's their assumption. But so long as you broadcast that you're trying to lose weight you'll probably get comments back about it. If you don't want that, don't broadcast it. If they press you, say "I just don't want one, but thank you for offering." Don't give any other information. So long as you are polite, they'll get over it.

I tried to PM you about something and found you're private and apparently we're not friends. Since you're private I can't find you. Friend me!
