Started jogging yesterday!!!

 Yesterday was my 4 month surgery date.  I celebrated the day by going on a nice jog with my husband for the first time in about 25 years!!!   He has always been an avid runner... and I have been the fat wife on the sidelines cheering him on at his running events.  I was so excited when I was able to jog with him yesterday.  Granted, it was slow, and wasn't pretty,  ( 3 miles in 45 minutes) but he cheered me on the whole way and was so proud of me.  It was nice to share his hobby of running with him!  

I even went out again this morning on my own... and would love to run a 5K with him and my daughter in a couple of months (short term goal).  Long term goal, I would love to run a half marathon and a marathon ....  

Love my RNY and the doors it has opened for me... like new healthy options.

Congrats!!!  I know that was a great feeling when you completed that first run!

No more fat wife on the sidelines!! GOOD FOR YOU!! I have always wanted to be able to run. But even with my weight loss I can't because I have a major hip injury needing surgery. Who knows, maybe if it gets fixed... Until then, I will cheer you on!! 5K. half marathon, marathon... you've got this!!
