lab charts ??? help
Didn't you have a follow up with your doc to discuss your lab results? I would have asked a lot of questions. Look at specific lab result, and normal range, whether high or low. This is usually on each lab sheet. Vitamin D and B12 desired ranges will differ from this chart. RNY post ops have higher needs for B12, and levels should be 900-1000 or a little more. Sublingual B12 is needed for proper absorption. Vitamin D levels start at 30. Vitamin D deficiencies are very common. You'll likely need a dry vitamin D3 to get your low levels up to the 80-90 levels considered optimum for post ops. You minimize chances of coming down with several cancers or neurological disorders with these levels besides assuring your calcium citrate is aborbed as well as possible. DAVE
