1 Year out and at goal!
This past year has been an amazing journey. I have lost 130lbs and learned so much about myself, my food addiction, my relationships and what really truly makes life joyful!
August 2010 - 263 lbs
Just a little over 1 year from my surgery at 146 lbs. I can't believe I am wearing a small jacket and a size 8 pair of jeans. Both purchased from stores that were totally out of my reach a year ago.
I know I loved posts like this when I was in the before stage and I hope that each and everyone on their journey realizes it takes 1 day at a time, 1 choice at a time. I am not perfect. I still struggle sometimes, but the majority of the time I make good choices.
I just ran my first race and 8k...but I will post more about that in a seperate post. For now I am celebrating the new person standing there! She is truly in such a better place and it wasn't just the pounds lost, but the journey along the way. I was blessed with amazing support both medically and by the ones close to me. So very thankful for a second chance with this body of mine.
