Is it possible to lose TOO much weight?
i was 236 to start with a BMI of 35. I am 6 months out and lost 70lbs. I still would like to lose another 20 and it just won't come off.
So, it is possible to lose more weight then you would like, it is also quite possible to not lose all the weight that you want. It you start to lose too much you just add carbs to your diet. You want to lose more in order to have room for a bit a regain.
Do you have co morbidities like HBP or type 2 diabetes? If you do not have health issues insurance may not approve a RNY for a person with the 35 BMI.

I had a BMI of 35 with comorbidities at the time of my surgery. I hit 3 lbs above my goal of 120 lbs 6 months ago, and it seems to be where my body is happy, plus or minus 2 pounds. My comorbidities are all better.
