Im a girlie girl!
If you have a Maurices in your area GO TO IT! I LOVE it! Beautiful clothes up to 4x and AFFORDABLE! I could spend a fortune in there lol. TOday my daughter and I went shopping and had a girl day, hair done, nails done, new clothes (and down another size I might add :).......there was a time when i HATED shopping. I would get so hot and sweaty walking around and trying on clothes, most of which wouldnt fit or look good on me at all. Now i LOVE shopping, shoes, jeans, tops or dresses....Ive turned into such a girlie gilr its pathetic lol. And im FINALLY out of the 20's for jeans ....ive not been a size 18 since early high school! I LOVE MY RNY!
Congrats!! Wow I can't wait to go shopping for smaller size clothing. I am hoping to have this surgery before the holidays around the middle of DEC! I am feeling you about shopping and walking around and getting all sweaty! I get so frustrated because I have to spend alot of time trying on clothes and they don't fit uggghh! So come on RNY I am soooo ready!
Haha! I was just in maurices yesterday and had the best day ever! It's been the first time since I had surgery and I've dropped 4 sizes! Going from a 24 to an 18 was the best. I had to keep asking for a smaller size! Their jeans are a little on the pricey side but they gave me a 25% discount cuz I said it was almost my bday( the 11th) and I also had a maurices card.
Congrats! We don't have Maurices here in Arizona, but their clothes online are similar to Fashion Bug - very cute!
I was a size 28 pre-op. The other day, I found some NYDJ jeans and some Michael Kors khakis at Goodwill in a 22 - and they fit! That was such a great feeling. Last week, I bought some misses sweaters in XL at JCPenney in anticipation of losing some more this winter - but I tried them on and they already fit, too!
I was already a shopping addict pre-op, but I see that's it's going to get really bad! Luckily I am a deal junkie and most of the jeans I am buying are less than $10 and will go on eBay after they are too big!

Goodwill is a wonderful place! I have moved from plus size to regular clothes, and I have found lots of clothes at Goodwill. It takes some time, but when you are only paying $3 to $5 for each item of clothing, you can afford to pay some clothes that actually fit while you continue to lose. I have found things brand new with the tags still on them.
