So Ashamed

I was just going through pictures for my 10 year olds 'kid of the week' board for school.  I have been overweight forever.  At least the past 15 years which seems like forever.  I didn't realize how fat I was until I started looking back at pictures and I am really embarrassed that all of my early memories with my kids I am fat in the pictures.  It is almost just really sad.
Now I have the opportunity to make new memories with the healthier skinnier me.
I have always been afraid of falling back into bad habits, gaining weight back even though I am not a year out yet. I have just now vowed to myself to look at my fat pictures on a regular basis to keep myself from slipping.

Don't waste life energy being ashamed. Life is about moving forward
and living and breathing every second of it.  We've all been places we
didn't like at one time or another. You've used that experience well it
seems because you've learned from it and you don't want to be there
again. You should be proud that you've made the choice to do things
differently and that you had surgery and you're using all your skills
and determination to get to a different place and to live your dreams.
Be happy and proud. You're doing so well!  Congratulations and keep
up the amazing good work!  Bless you and your family.

I have pictures of me at my heaviest all around the house... on the fridge, on the bathroom mirror, everywhere. They keep me motivated to stay on track. Use those memories and photos to remind you how far you have come and be proud of the fact that you corrected a problem.
