I find that some mornings and throughout the day if I forget to take in enough water.  Keep hydrated.

Any suggestions about what to do when I first wake up better yet get up.  Since surgery I lay in bed for meditation about 30 minutes. After that I get up, start taking the vitamins, doing stuff, then get faint. So I sit a few minutes, and try to start again.

Are you on blood pressure meds?  If so, they probably need to be adjusted.  Also, if you're diabetic & haven't adjusted your insulin yet?

Honestly, being just 6 days out, I would give my surgeon a call to be safe.

Feel better,

HI maybe your sugars are low.  Although I am not a diabetic, i feel dizzy sometimes in the morning.  Usually what I'll do is drink some juice or apple sauce sf of course and then i'll feel better.  But yes i would consult your doctor.

Thanks, I spoke to the Dr. I am off BP meds until I see him. We can't do sugar, remember dumping.  The nurse suggested before moving around drinking my 1st protein drink while meditating.  I will see. It might be caffeine withdrawals. I work 2 jobs and drank alot of coffee, I love it.

Hydration is likely at fault here. It's very important to eat something, or at least have a protein shake within 30 minutes of waking.   I drank water fine, but did experience some dizziness issues and passed out a few times at home around 7-8 months post op. My issue was finally diagnosed as low bp and I ended up with a pacemaker implant around 14 months post op.  But I would not think low bp is an issue now, since you're off bp meds. BTW, I ended up back on my same old bp meds after I had my pacemaker implant.  No more issues in the 4 years since my implant. DAVE

Just recently am able to get out of bed and do what I need to do without stopping to rest..(get up, feed dogs, shower ,dry hair and put on make up so I can go to work....) I am just now 10 weeks out.  Also, I always kept a bottle of water on my nightstand and drank throughout the night if I woke up...hang in there..it DOES get better!!
