Tennis Elbow

Hi all,

I haven't been around lately, but I promise I'll post some before/during pictures soon.  I'm down 115 lbs.  I'm playing about 2 hours of tennis 5 days a week and loving it.  However, I've developed a bit of "tennis elbow."  For mild cases, such as I have, usually an ibuprofen before and after playing takes care of the problem completely.  Obviously, with RNY, continual use of an NSAID is not an option. 

I just wondered what some of you all have found works best for you for mild inflamation.  Obvoiusly I'll try acetaminophen, but maybe you all have something better?

Have you seen your orthopedic doctor?  Cortisone injection?   I just took pain killers and tynleol.

I have had tennis elbow, it was rather painful.  I had surgery on it in May 2010 and it helped alot.  I had 3 injections before proceeding with the surgery.  

No, I did speak about it with my family doctor, and if it gets worse, cortisone injections will be the next thing I try.  Were they painful?  He said, "Sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't." =)

Yes but they do put numbing meds first, so it's not too bad but will be sore for at least 24 hours ... no biggie...
