Helloooo! 1 year surgiversary coming up....
Hi everyone! I haven't been on in a while, so I thought I would check in. SUCCESS! that is the word of the day. I am holding steady at 120lbs, so I am in maintenance phase now. I have my one year surgiversary on Nov 22, and I couldn't be more thrilled! In the past year I have lost...132lbs, 23 inches off my waist, 14 inches off my hips, 10 inches off my thighs, and 5 inches off my calves and biceps. I have lost my rear end (and the extra one that was growing above it!)....but I have gained sooo much...self-confidence, self-esteem, self-worth, aches and pains are gone, I no longer have indigestion or high blood pressure. My doctors and their staff are just in awe any time I visit. It's just an incredible feeling. The worst side effect/complication I had after surgery was a bout of bad nausea at 1 month post-op, but it went away quickly. I DON'T dump...so I can eat whatever I want, and I do, in moderation. I can eat more than I did months ago, but it's still pretty small portions. I pretty much eat whatever the rest of my family eats, but much smaller portions. I enjoy the occassional cookie, ice cream, french fries- with no issues. I just know that after a couple of bites I am done! I get a hiccup or a runny nose and I know I have to stop, but I also know my system now, and I don't usually get to that point, I stop a few bites before. So, I thought you would all like to read a good success story, hopefully it will inspire those waiting for their date or trying to decide. And, hopefully it will give all you post-oppers who may be having some trouble a bit of hope. I wish you all well in your journey! Feel free to message me with any questions. Here's a current picture...enjoy!

I just want to add that I am 258 right now, which I see was your starting weight. I am setting my goal at 160 right now only because It makes me feel less overwhelmed to see that I have to lose just under 100 pounds. I am so excited to think I could actually end up at less than 150 with this process. You and everyone on here are such an inspiration for me.
