I had a dumping episode last night and I am still not feeling well today. I feel light headed and my stomach is queasy.

How long do you feel "off" after dumping?

For me the only comforting thing is knowing that after about 1/2 an hour the worse is over.  The only time I don't feel good for a long time is if I have thrown up a lot.  Then I may feel bad the next day.  I usually just eat light that day and by the evening I am fine.

Early after surgery I felt awful for hours on a mild dump. I don't dump
easily nor badly, but if I do on occasion, it's now for about 20 minutes.
If you're light-headed, you might also want to check your blood sugar.
If you had carbs and/or sugar that caused you to dump, you might
actually be feeling RH (reactive hypoglycemia). Try eating protein
and see if it helps.  I've only had 2 episodes of RH. The first one had
me spiraling for hours and hours until I got it under control with small
bits of protein spaced out every 15-20 minutesl.  Good luck!  I hope
you feel better soon!
