I weight a 70 pounds lighter then I am now when I did medifast and that was about three years ago. 70 pounds in three years to me is crazy. at that pace I'll be three hundred pounds in three years or even faster.

You are on the right track with getting the information from Medifast and others. This will happen for you, don't worry to much. Happy, Happy journey.

If you go to the Tricare website and look up bypass this is one of the requirements now.  It's really common with a lot of insurances.   Do you have the little WW booklet that you used to weigh in with?  That will count.  Total bummer, but you can do this!

Soo, I didnt keep any of that. Medifast is the last documented diet I paid for that I have. I have done WW and my own version of JC (with smartones). My mom said I should just lie and makeup fake journals. I dont like lieing, and I would feel so bad. I have done all these diets though, I just threw everything out in the move, I mean I never thought I woulf need them again and why keep that stuff just to look back on it and see how skinny I got then gained it all back. I'm conflicted lol

This is from the tricare website:
    •
    •
    • You were unsuccessful with non-surgical medical treatments for obesity. Your medical records must show your failed attempts.
    • Diet programs, such as Weigh****chers®* and Jenny Craig*, are acceptable methods of dietary management, as long as there's medical documentation of participation and monthly clinical visits with your doctor. *These programs aren't covered by TRICARE.
  • Physician-supervised programs made-up of only weight-loss medication management, don't meet this requirement.

  • I wouldn't try faking a journal.  Weigh****chers puts a stamp and date on the weigh in journal.  When I did my documentation for my 6 month diet I had weigh****chers give me a copy of my weekly weigh ins with ww.  Check with them and see if they still have a copy on file.

I don't have tricare but I my PCP had to submit a 5 year weight history and I still had to do a 6 month medically approved diet, see a psych, and a bunch of other stuff before I recieved approval.  My surgeon's office has a person who interfaces with the insurance companies and keeps everything straight.  I'm not sure if I could have done it on my own.

I didn't have to provide proof (although I don't have tricare), but I did have to list out a 5 year weight loss history. I did the best I could with dates, and weight loss, etc. Almost every insurance I have heard about requires some form of documented attempts. My PCP signed off on my attempts listed.
