My earlier post is listed below and I am glad to say that I am feeling a little better and get to go home this evening. Thanks everyone for thinking of me and for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers.......Jan

I had my surgery on Wednesday morning. It took about 4 and 1/2 hours. Doc said I had an extreme amount of adhesions on my right side so he put an extra port on the left side rather than have another 3 or 4 hours on the table trying to get thru it all. He didnt want to keep me under that long.
Thursday was a pretty good day. I was able to get up and walk the halls quite a few times without any problems but by the evening, I was having chest pain and shortness of breath and the worst nausea I have ever had.
It is 9:45 pm on saturday night and I still have not been able to eat anything because of the nausea. Doc says that I have atalectasis in my lower left lung and that I have a small ileus in my bowel. Hoping things clear up soon so I can start eating and healing and get myself the heck out of this hospital! He said that prolly isnt going to happen in the next day or so though :(

Hey Jan, wow! Sounds like you've been through a rough time! By now, I hope you are home and doing much better. I was so fortunate that I didn't have any complications. I had my follow up with my surgeon yesterday and he removed my drain tube ( OMG!!! What a relief!). We flew home in the afternoon. This morning, I'm a little tired but feeling really good emotionally.

All the best to you, Sweetie! Let us know how you are when you feel up to it.

Aloha,
Barb
