1 year post op check up today
I had my 1 year post op today. Which is actually 13 months due to rescheudling twice for emergency surgeries.
I started my journey at 320 lbs and now am 178...5'11" tall. I have lost 96% of my excess body weight and my surgeon was very pleased.
Labs look good including my very high B12 which at my 6month was super low.
I am beyond thrilled with my results and will post pictures later.
I of course am very thankful for the surgery, the weight loss and the fact that I had no complications. Beisdes getting new clothes that I actually like, the best part of the year was being able to ride roller coasters again with my kids!

while I was waiting for my before and after pictures to print I was in the hall outside an exam room and in there was a preop person at her first appointment. I could hear my doctor talking about the different surgeries and such. I of course wanted to barge in and say 'you will be so happy you do the surgery if so choose'. I was excited for this person taking their first step and I didn't even know them.
