So I live in a town that has all the major stores (Turlock, CA).  And I work in Modesto CA...A much larger city.  I can not find a chewable iron!!  I've gone to GNC, Walmart, Walgreens, Rite Aid.  The local pharmacy that use to carry Bariatic Advantage closed...They moved their stuff to the local Rite Aid...Which didn't have the iron!!  Yeah, I know I can order on line.  Just wondering if you know of a major chain that carries chewable ferrous fumarate iron tablets??  Thanks...

Vitamin Shoppe has a good one that I take. It is chewable, tastes good and works well.

I use the Bariatric Advantage and love it! I ordered online from Bariatric Choice- they discount a lot of their products.

why would you want ferrous fumerate?  We cant' absorb any iron with ferrous in the name.  YOu need a highly acidic environment and they are very hard on your stomach.

You need carbonyl iron which the only chewables are from vitalady.com - the ones that I have seen from bariatric advantage are a mixture of carbonyl iron and ferrous irons.

Why chewables?  can't you swallow a capsule or tablet?  You can get a tablet locally called Feosol but make sure it is carbonyl iron becuase they also make a ferrous sulfate.  These are 45mg each and you would need to take a few of them depending on your iron and ferritin levels.  You also need to add vitamin C to them as a dosage of 200mg of vitamin C for eveyr 30mg of iron.

the tender irons from vitalady are either 25mg chewable without vitamin C, so you need to buy a separate vitamin C and hte 60mg capsules have vitamin C in them.  These are easy on stomach and non constipating

I live in San Jose and have switched to proferrin iron as I wasn't absorbing the carbonyl that well. I have two unopened bottles of BA Chewable iron - 60 mg, 270 tablets each if you want to meet up somewhere and buy them from me. They were $69.25 per bottle but we can negotiate. PM me if you are interested.
