Gallbladder attack - no gallbladder

I have an appointment with my surgeon coming up to follow up on continued complications, but am curious of if any of you can relate and give me some advice!

I am over 2 1/2 years out and have had continual left side pain and constant nausea.  This is normal for me.  I have occasional left side pain (this has been very thoroughly "tested" with no cause except intesseption, which was surgically fixed), but I still have spasms that are more intense pain that is followed by a huge pressure feeling in my entire abdomin area.  I feel hot and have to go to the bathroom frequently when this is happening.

Yesterday, I was having one of these pressure events and a friend came into my office as I was talking myself into think I was going to be fine, but feeling like it was all I could do to even stand and breathe.  She asked if I was alright as I was very flushed and looked "weird."  She said that I hadn't looked that rough since I was having gallbladder attacks.  It was after she said that, that it totally clicked for me.  These pressure feelings are EXACTLY how I felt when I was having gallbladder attacks prior to my gallbladder being removed.

Sorry, so long, but I am just curious.  I think this is ridiculous, but I am so tired of putting on a happy face and going on with life like nothing is wrong.  I am hurting all of the time and these "attacks" are getting to me more than I can put a face on and just ignore.  And (maybe TMI) I am running to the bathroom on a regular basis (like 15 to 30 minutes) during these attacks.  I am one who usually takes Miralax on a daily basis and have not used any this week and can't stop going even with Keopectate!

I may have had a few extra potholes along the way, but the journey has been good!

Your gall bladder is on the right side. Could it be something heart related, if the pain is on your left side?

Have you followed up with your MD?  It sounds to me more like a reaction to eatting the wrong food or too quickly?  Have you tried to use a food diary to track what you have eatten prior to the symptoms starting?
You mention it has been very thoroughly tested, however if you are still having symptoms it has not been tested as you have no cause.  Perhaps a different MD?

There are many things these symptoms could mimic and they should not be ignored.

Definitely see your physician.  You can get stones in the bile ducts of your liver even after you've had your gallbladder removed.  Quite possible that is what this is.  I think they still do an ERCP to detect that but I'm not entirely sure.  Hope you and your physician figure it out quickly and get you taken care of.

Thanks guys! I have a dr. Appt and have had second opinions etc. rest assured I have a journal and am very food compliant! I have regular dietician meetings as well! The pressure I am feeling is not related to my normal left side pain as this is more right sided and very different!

My PCP happens to be an endocrinologist, which has come in handy a few times

I had some crazy pains that reminded me of a gall bladder attack, and some of it was on the left side. Turned out my pancreas and my colon were quite with the unhappy. Diverticulitis was the end result. A couple of hard core antibiotics helped. I still get some abdominal issues now and then, but my doctor and I know what to look for. May be worth asking about. The bathroom issues are also explained by that.
