Feels like Im nesting again...

Remember that feedling that you got before the babies were born and the house had to be "just so" before the baby came home?
Here I am, almost 50, getting ready to hae surgery in 3 days, and I feel the same way! LOL!

I am busy today making everything "just so" before I get home... hubby has washed the house (outside, of course) for me, and is currently tearing down an old chicken coop... I am finishng up laundry today, doing some mending that has needed done for quite awhile, and I just finished cleaning my oven for petes sake! LOL!

I'm strange, I know, but oh well... at least things will be in order when I get home... hopefully (my hubby is a messy marvin...)

Anyone else go through this weird sensation before going to the hospital?

 
I won't have surgery until 4/30... but I HOPE I go through nesting... That might help keep my mind off it and busy!  LOL

 It's so funny you say that! I have my surgery a week from Monday (April 2) and have been working on my house like a fool lately! I've been rearranging furniture, cleaning under things and washing walls! Granted it is time for a good spring cleaning and my very very tidy mother is coming to spend a couple days after I get released from the hospital, but I'm still wondering where all this energy is coming from. Glad I'm not alone! Thanks for this post!

Yes.  I got the house in shape, bought my liquids, got a couple of library books and a puzzle.  Everything was ready for me to come home, rest (except for some walking) and stay home for awhile.    Best wishes for your operation!

My mind is nesting but my body is not co-operating!! I am having bedroom carpets cleaned this week , but really need to put clothes away in bedroom and guestroom ( I have way to many and in all different sizes)
My dream would be to have the bedroom and guest room clean, only room with T.V. and bed .
I need knee and hip replacement ( maybe not after loosing weight , I hope) so getting all this done is daunting and may not happen , I just have to keep in mind that in the whole of life , it may not make a difference although it would make ME feel better to have it all done...little by little.
My husband is a tremendous help !!!! but some of this is only things I can do....
surgery is 4/4......I better get busy...or just sit here in my recliner  whichever comes first.........

I was thinking the same thing! My surgery isn't for another 5 weeks, but I am already trying to tackle a little bit at a time. I bought a new carseat for my almost 2yo and cleaned/vacuumed the car today....Ive needed to do that for a while. I know I have a lot of time left, but I'm already making lists and trying to get my supplies so I'm all ready. It is a lot like nesting. I wish I had more energy and didn't have to sit down so often, though.
