chicken salad (used canned)
deli meats
laughing cow cheese wedges
cottage cheese
scrambled eggs
poached eggs
fish (salmon is my fave!)
refried beans
lentils
chili (vegetarian)
cream of wheat
meatloaf
sides:
mashed potatoes
mashed sweet potatoes
mashed cauliflower
pureed cooked carrots and green beans
mashed squash
mashed/pureed fruits canned in their own juice (no sugar added) - Pears are especially good this way
These are examples from the sample menus supplied to me by my surgeon/nutritionist. I've tried many of the above and haven't had any negative reactions. CHEW CHEW CHEW.
It felt amazing to have 2 oz of the salmon my husband grilled to perfection last night with a small spoon of mashed potatoes. I didn't finish the potatoes but I savored EVERY bite of that salmon :-)
