Two things caused it for me. Lactose intolerance and sugar alcohols. I only use milk now that is Lactaid. I watch labels and don't eat anything that has maltitol or other 'tols. No more sugar-free popsicles, sugar-free candy, sugar-free pudding, no more Celebrate vitamins, no more sugar-free ice creams, no more canned fruits sweetened with maltitol. Once I got those things out of my life, I felt confident enough to be out in public again.
