gas 8 months out

So I NEVER suffered with gas after surgery. Why now?? My diet has not changed. Any thoughts?

I feel ur pain, I am about 8 months out too and have gas really bad. not sure what is causing it for me either.

 Two things caused it for me.  Lactose intolerance and sugar alcohols.  I only use milk now that is Lactaid.  I watch labels and don't eat anything that has maltitol or other 'tols.  No more sugar-free popsicles, sugar-free candy, sugar-free pudding, no more Celebrate vitamins, no more sugar-free ice creams, no more canned fruits sweetened with maltitol. Once I got those things out of my life, I felt confident enough to be out in public again.

can those things just come on suddenly? I never eat a lot of the sugar alcohols, but have been able to eat it on occassion without problems. and I have been drinking about 1/2 vup milk a day 4-5 days a week .

 I think lactose intolerance hit me at about six months.  

 i go through periods of bad gas with no rhyme or reason. it'll be awful for a few days and then back to normal.

My protein shacks gave me gas, have you recently changed or started drinking shacks again.
