Length of Intestines Bypassed in RNY?
Hi Folks!
I'm a Lap-Bandee with a non-compliant metabolism and I'm considering a revision to the Gastric Bypass/RNY. I know that some of my small in intestine will be bypassed, but does anyone know, on average, how much?
Note: My husband and I are hoping to have children in the future, so I do not want the more mal-absorptive DS procedure. :)
Thanks and Happy Sunday!

Wendy & Debbie,
Just a wee clarification, I think you might have your figures wrong. 1.5 meters is more than 3 feet. There are 2.5 cm in ea*****h. (12 inches in a foot, 3 feet to a yard; 1 meter is slightly more than 3 feet)
I grew up with imperial measurements (like you have in the US) and though Canada went metric in '76 I still usually do the calculations to figure out what the recognizable measurements or temps are for me.
