I got a sample packet of the nectar shakes and I like some of the flavors---but they FOAM up no matter how  I make them not like other protein powders----is there a trick I  am missing to get them non foamy?

have you tried letting them set for awhile.  I tend to make my nectar shakes in a blender bottle at night and then leave it in the fridge for the next morning.  No foam!

I don't use a blender with Syntrax Nectar.  Put it in a plastic bottle and shake it up.  I have never had a problem with foam.  Hope this helps!  IMHO, Syntrax makes the best-tasting protein powders, and the fact that you don't need a blender is a nice plus.

Do you use a blender ball??

I tried just shaking it up in a container and I still got foam (not as much as in a blender but still foam)

Nope, no blender ball, just a plastic bottle with a wide-mouth opening and a screw top.  I shake it for about 30 seconds, put it down for a minute, then pick it up and shake it for another 30 seconds.  I do shake really hard, and I would use the blender if I could tolerate the foam, but I can't.  The bottle I use holds 32 ounces, and I mix up 16 ounces of shake at a time (drink 8 in the morning and 8 in the afternoon).  Maybe your container is too big or too small for the job.

I use a plastic shaker with the blender ball, and still get a little bit of foam, but if you let it sit a minute or two, it goes down.

When I do Lemon Tea or Caribean Cooler, I mix it with about 1/2-3/4c of water, a tube of crystal light  and a spoon.  It mixes great.  Then I add ice and more water.  I end up using 3-4cup of water for each scoop which helps me get my fluid in also. If I am taking them with me somewhere, I put 1 c of water in the bottle, add crystal light and protein and shake.  Then ice and more water.  It does foam some that way but by the time I get ready for it, the ice is melting and the foam is gone.

Mix first in room temp water, I just keep a gallon jug in the pantry, then add ice once mixed, this really cuts down on the foam.
