Nectar protein shakes FOAM question
RNY on 09/17/12
have you tried letting them set for awhile. I tend to make my nectar shakes in a blender bottle at night and then leave it in the fridge for the next morning. No foam!

Nope, no blender ball, just a plastic bottle with a wide-mouth opening and a screw top. I shake it for about 30 seconds, put it down for a minute, then pick it up and shake it for another 30 seconds. I do shake really hard, and I would use the blender if I could tolerate the foam, but I can't. The bottle I use holds 32 ounces, and I mix up 16 ounces of shake at a time (drink 8 in the morning and 8 in the afternoon). Maybe your container is too big or too small for the job.
When I do Lemon Tea or Caribean Cooler, I mix it with about 1/2-3/4c of water, a tube of crystal light and a spoon. It mixes great. Then I add ice and more water. I end up using 3-4cup of water for each scoop which helps me get my fluid in also. If I am taking them with me somewhere, I put 1 c of water in the bottle, add crystal light and protein and shake. Then ice and more water. It does foam some that way but by the time I get ready for it, the ice is melting and the foam is gone.
