Longer post about my 150lb loss! (PICS)
Sorry I didn't have much time earlier, but wanted to share my "scale victory." Now that I have more time, I figured I would post some pics of my progress and let you all know how I feel.
I'm feeling pretty fantastic, actually. There are so many things that I have been able to do as the weight has come off. I've ridden go carts with my daughter, I have more energy (well, did before I got pregnant. LOL), I have so much more confidence about myself. I can fit into any booth or seat that I want to without worrying if I will be able to get out of that spot or if I will break the chair. I can paint my toenails without becoming an amateur contortionist. Even my pregnancy is different than my first was. I was 351 pounds when I found myself pregnant with my daughter. My doctor couldn't feel my uterus from the outside to measure it, had a hard time finding my daughter's heartbeat, etc. This time he can feel my uterus and has had no problems finding this baby's heartbeat :) I'm hoping my surgery will also save me from gestational diabetes, which I was borderline with in my first pregnancy.
As for clothing, I have gone from a size 32 jean to a size 18, and a size 26/28 or XXXXL top to a 14/16 or XL top! I feel comfortable wearing cute heels, and I can wear the cheap-o walmart flip flops without my heels sinking all the way to the ground!
I still have body image issues, though. When I look in the mirror, I see the same person who stood before me a year ago even though I know, even at 17 weeks pregnant, that's SO not the case. Here are some progression pictures. The difference here is actually only 135 pounds because I don't have any pictures of myself at 385. But here are pics of me at 370 and then again today weighing in at 234.6lbs.
