I HATE GREEK YOGURT...  I tried every kind of plain there is and mixed every thing into it that I could find suggested.

Then today, determined to add it to my regime...  I tried Chobani Apple/Cinnamon.  I loved it!  I try to stay away from real high sugar just because it's not good for me...  (the only thing I seem to have really dumped on is cake - to this day can't have a piece of cake).  Anyhow - as near as I can tell from their website they do not add sugar. (the label does not list sugar, but does list pectin)  I guess it is a non issue for me since I can tolerate it - but just wondered if anyone has any insight?  I did a search on here, but didn't see an specific answer to that question.

Now I am looking forward to trying the other flavors!!!

I'm going to have to try the Apple/Cinnamon....like you I do not like Greek Yogurt.....actually the only yogurt I like it Yoplait.  I found out about six months ago why I like Yoplait....it contains high fructose corn syrup so had to let it go.   I think the only sugar in most plain Greek yogurts is the natural sugar that occurs in milk.  Lactose.

They use evaporated cane juice as a sweetener. Pectin helps the yogurt "gel", and it's usually found in jellies and jams.

Just checked it out.....19 gr of sugar and 20 carbs.  Looks like the sugar is from apples and milk.  I could have it now because I'm pre-op, but according to my dietary guidelines from my NUT, I'm not suppose to consume anything that has more than 10gr. of sugar per serving.  Too bad.

They want you to stay under that even if it is natural sugar?

Yes.  My dietary guidelines don't specify types of sugar, just amounts.  I geuss I could eat 3oz. (which is half a serving of the yogurt) and be OK.

Did you try plain greek yogurt with sugar free instand pudding mix? I like the pistachio, and butterscotch mixed in the plain yogurt. I was not a big fan of the apple cinnamon though. I did like the honey yogurt too.
