Which scale is most accurate?

...........The one I am currently using is an older scale that just started acting up, and can weigh anywhere from 3-5 lbs heavy.

I know there are all kinds of fancy scales, but do I really need all of the bells and whistles? Or, are there any "tried and true" brands that remain accurate and consistent and give reliable weights.

Do you have a favorite maker, brand or preference?

I got a digital scale at Wal-mart for $11 that works great. I think the key is to use the same scale and measure the same time of day and under similar cir****tances... for me - it's first thing in the morning, after I've gone tinkle and naked.

I bought a cheap scale for 17.88 at walmart. It gave different reads evertime you would step on. a BIG weight difference I returned that one.
I ended up at bed bath and beyond. my store had a HUGH selection all were displayed and working. I tried like 4 models all around 30$ I would sten on and off 3 times and see if the weights were same. I ended up with a weigh****chers one. It gave me 3 reading in a row with no difference in pounds.

Thank you, I will look at the WW scales.

I bought a $40 scale that gave me a different weight every time I got on it, varying from 3-8 lbs in difference. That's what made me think to come on here and ask who uses what and which one is good.

I go by the doctor's office scale. The one I have at home is OK, but we live in an old house so nothing is level. My weight fluctuates 1-5 lbs. on any given day. LOL

Oh geez, that would make me crazy lol.

If I were closer, I'd just go to my doc's office and get weighed every so often, but he is an hour and a half away. . .that's a little too far just for a weigh in.

LOL I agree.

Too bad the office isn't closer. I have a Weigh****chers scale that I've had for about 8 years now. Other than the crooked house, it seems to work fine. Usually I weigh myself before I have an appointment so I have a baseline of how off my scale is at home. I've tried putting shims under it, but that doesn't always work--especially if my husband moves it.
