What am I doing wrong

Ok so I have had an incredible experience w r n y and feel so lucky to have my healthy life back! But I am wondering what's up with the weight these days....

I weighed 162 lbs On 7/11 and I am bouncing between 167 and 162 ever since and it's been over three wks. I know I should be grateful to even be in the 160's and I am so grateful (actually feel a little ungrateful to even be asking). But why am I stuck? Although truthfully have not been getting as much fluids in lately. Can that stop the weightloss? Ok and I've started eating sugar free ice cream but I wouldn't say I'm over doing it.

I'm almost 8 months out is this what happens? When do u stop losing? Good news is that I'm not gaining but I would like to lose more... Thanks so much.

When I hit 168 at 4 1/2 month out...........I didn't lose for 12 week.  I then dropped a pound here and there and now at 10 months out I am down to 158.  Weight loss just slows down when you get closer to goal.  I was told that not everybody gets to a normal BMI and that they consider a normal BMI for a WLS is about 27%.  Of course I am not buying that, I want a BMI of 22% or a weight of 146.  It is hard to come on OH and read light weights who hit there target at 6 to 8 months out but like you I am just trying to be happy with where I am at.

 Stalls suck. There's just no getting around it. Your body has done you well for 8 months but possibly is starting to get wise to the routine. You can try to shake up that routine - more advisably in the form of exercise - but sticking to your plan and seeing it thru for the long-haul is all you really healthy too. And upping liquids is never a bad thing....

THANKS SO MUCH!!! I figure Im so lucky as it is but I do need to start toning a bit and figure that will make the lbs go up due to building muscle which weighs more. I would love to be able to kick off another ten at least but am happy for my health!!! All test are great and I don't need two of my asthma meds just the singular which is amazing!!

Im in the same boat. Haven't really moved. Ive been between 163 and 165, up and down. But I'm actually okay with this, cause it beets being 307! But just stick to your plan and keep exercising, and yes, drink more water, cause that will help. As for the icecream, if you noticed that the weight started to stick around when the icecream started going in, I'd avoid it (at least for now) and see if that's the culprit. If the icecream goes, and you start loosing again, you know that that's what it was.

 Over time, your body requires less calories to run itself. As a post-oper, that amount is less calories than a person of the same size that never carried weight. If you have stalled out, it could be that you have descovered your maintenance intake. Are you tracking your intake / calories?

You may need to lower your daily intake to continue losing.
