Quick question about sex after surgery
Are you going to be in a private room? j/k It really depends on how well you feel. They used to say 6 weeks but there are many that didn't wait nearly that long. My surgery was open and I think I waited about 4 or 5 weeks. Go easy and don't do anything that may cause pain.

I was released for any activity unless it hurt. My surgeon told me I could do anything I wanted unless it hurt. Ok, I was told no swimming until my incisions healed. Anything else was ok, and if it started to hurt, I was told to stop.
Your return to "regular activities" will depend on how you come out of surgery. Some of us are ready to roll right out of recovery, some of us take a while to feel normal again.
Here 's hoping you have a quick recovery!!

I would have got my freak on with my wife in the hospital had she gone along with it but that was a no go talked her into it after getting home so it was like 3-4 days.

My hospital discharge papers said no restrictions on sexual activity, so whenever you feel up to it...go for it! LOL I had open gastric bypass and didn't feel up to it for weeks, but with laparascopic surgery you will probably feel better much sooner.
P.S. Don't be afraid to ask your doctor ANYTHING...believe me, they have heard it all before!!
