no, this chica is not a pre nor post gastric bypass patient, but she has lost 55 pounds, and this looks like a good recipe for some pancakes.  I'll have to try it out this weekend.  I'm still iffy about oats myself....but anyway, wanted to share

Someone else on here gave me this recipe

If you take a scoop of protein powder (I use vanilla whey) and an egg place in a bowl and pour a bit of skim milk (not much at all keep the batter thick), some sweetener, a pinch of baking powder and mix it well ... heat up a skillet ... place a bit of olive oil or can't believe its not butter or spray ... pour mixture on hot skillet and make yourself the most awesome and delicious protein pancakes .

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that would be a protein pancake to a NON-OP. For a post-op not so much. The carbs and protein are nearly identical (the average serving of ½ c. oats is about 27-30g carbs, the average egg has 7g protein. So they come out about even). When in our situation, these distinctions become important.

IÂ'd advise you instead to check out EggfaceÂ's ricottage pancakes. Lots more protein and less carbs. Again, carbs arenÂ't bad but when you are early out and restricted, the more protein you can get in, the better!

Here's a link to the basic recipe but she's got TONS of variations!
