Buring the most while in ketosis

Unfortunately, ketosis is not a magical condition. Weight loss and fat loss will still just go back to energy in vs energy out. It is true that while in Ketosis, you are on a different metabolism, breaking down fat into ketones to use for energy rather than glycogen (sugar). But you still have to use more energy than you take in. Fortunately, that part is easier because of our surgery. I would try for longer workouts at a moderate pace. I have found that while in ketosis I personally don't have as much energy to fuel a hard full-out workout that I could perform prior to the surgery and ketosis. Granted, everyone is different so maybe you will but I am back up to the ability to walk at 4.0-4.2 mpg at 3-6% grade average for 50 minutes. Prior to surgery and ketosis I was doing 4.5 mph or more at the same elevations for an hour at least. The good thing about being in Ketosis to start out (In theory anyway) is that before, one would have to exercise for about 40 minutes to burn through the glycogen stored in the body and liver before the fat burning process could commence. Now, starting out with no glycogen it should start burning the fat immediately. Good luck! Have a great day!
