So, I run into someone I haven't seen since grade school....and I'm standing in the street with my two boys, chatting.  He asked if my YOUNGER son (who's not yet 23!!!) is my husband!

Talk about an ego boost!

Last week, at work, a woman came in that I have not seen in about a year. She asked me if Jane still worked here. I said "you mean Jean?" Jean retired in December. She said no, Jane, the one who used to sit here. I said "Suzanne, I am Jane." Well, the eyes got so big and I thought she was going to pass out. Just seeing the look on her face, was the biggest NSV so far!!!

LOL!

I just love when stuff like that happens. I had a former friend, who at one time was practically a best friend until I got to see her for what she really was, start talking to me as if we were total strangers. Because to her we were! I said, "A, why are you talking to me?" She said, "What?" I said, "WHY are YOU talking to me? You and I don't speak, remember?" She said "But... OMG!!!! It's you!!!" I said "Yep. Bye."

That was such a nice moment. Especially after what she did to me to make me end the friendship.

I've had other people I used to know pass me on the street and NOT recognize me AT ALL. In those cases, I didn't say a word. That was nice in it's own way. It's like getting to have a new identity.

I've had the same thing happen. I work at a school and I appearantly lost a bit through out the summer, so when a parent came in and introduced himself I laughed. He then asked me how long i've been working here, and I said, "It's me, I've been here for 3 years!"He kept looking at me and just couldnt remember me, until I showed him an old classroom pic. A-ha! He finally recognized me. We had a good laugh!
