laxative?
I too have hemorrhoids and have battled them for years. The only thing that works for me is milk of magnesia it makes it soft enough to go miralax doesn't work for me. Sometimes I have to take a double dose to get it moving or take a single dose and do a dulcolax suppository a couple hours later. I hope something works for you soon I know how it can be.
for hemorroid help, the tucks pads work great....i would at night apply some perscription prep H i got from dr...and then tuck a tucks pad around the roids...put on undies and go to bed....major releif in the morning..you have to be standing to tuck the tucks around the hemorroids as if sitting, when you stand up, the will fall in toilet..been there and done that....i just sleep with undies on just in case they fall out during the night...but they never have..
i talk miralax and stool softners pretty much daily first thing in the morning on an empty stomach with my milk and vitamins.....i have have roids since my oldest daught and she is now almost 31...
good luck

I take 2 senokot S every day & they do the job. I took miralax to no relief. Senekot is what I gave my hospice pts when I did hospice nursing & it always worked well. I take MOM if I need extra help, but have only done that once since May. I do plan on visiting with my Dr next week at my appt. to discuss this issue.
I've heard about people using glycerin suppositories or enemas.
I drink Smooth Move tea AND Metamucil every day, and even then I sometimes get clogged up. Dulcolax will get me going then. But if you're THAT stopped up, you may need to resort to the enema. Once you're cleared out, I strongly recommend the Smooth Move tea and Metamucil to keep you regular.
