nutritionist upped my calories and question about protein
Since I was always hungry I decided to add in a protein shake and have been getting about 100 g of protein the past 3 days but still staying within about 830 calories a day and yet I "gained" 2 lbs instead of dropping a couple lbs which is what I had hoped for. so I'm pretty upset. This hasn't happened to me before. Could I be having too much protein? Protein turns to fat no?
My nut increased my calories to 1000-1200 a day and I am so scared to get that high and still expect a weightloss. what do you guys think? I haven't been exercising so that might be too much for me?
1200 calories at 4 months out sounds a bit high. Some people eat 1200 calories to maintain their weight.

at 3-4 months out they wanted me around 1000, and at my 6 month, they wanted me between 1200-1500 calories.

My dietician said that at 6 weeks out even they prefer it if their patients can be getting between 800-1200 calories a day. I am 9 weeks out and average around 1000 calories, 130-150 g of protein, 35-50g carbs and 80ozs of purely water daily. My weight loss has been good so far, and usually goes in spurts where I lose 10 pounds in the matter of a week, stall for almost 2 weeks, lose 10 more, stall, lose 10 more. But with your upping of calories, you're also going to be taking in more sodium which will cause that horrid weight gain you are seeing, but again it is jus****er weight and won't stick around. Pushing straigh****er as much as you can will help and the amount of protein you are taking in is actually great. You're doing amazing, keep it up!
