What are you eating/doing today? Sunday!

Hey guys. Sorry I've been so scarce. I think I underestimated how difficult the holidays would be emotionally being the first since my mom's passing. I've been coping by trying to keep myself insanely busy. I am not entirely sure this is working but whatever. I'm trying.

Anyway, I figure I should at least stay conscious of my eating during this time so I decided to start the thread today.

Doing: Going to church in a moment, for a run later on today. Besides that I don't have any huge plans.

Eating:

1. I just finished a Chike protein iced coffee packet with milk

2. I'll probably have half a bagel with cream cheese at church

3. Something with eggs as I've been craving them!

4. Dinner will be cabbage and sausage stew. I think I may make a low-carb cake for dessert

5. Protein drink if I need something else.

Today is thanksgiving here at my bf's house, I can barely wait for the turkey to pop out of the plastic baking bag, or for my mil to nuke the fat free canned gravy.  Wooo hooo this is gonna be good. Not.  Oh well NYC on thanksgiving will be fun.

Be gentle with you, my friend.

I slept late today - relatively speaking. Since it was nearly 3 before I made it to bed, I guess 1030 wasn't too bad?

I am fostering a beagle for our local Junior Humane Society. It is my first foster and she is super sweet. Anybody want her? LOL

Spent the morning playing with dogs and looking for my phone (I spent 20 minutes walking around the yard pushing "send" on my parent's phone calling myself... found my phone in my kitchen floor. Gonna be one of THOSE days).  I go to work in a little bit for a 10hr shift, then a roundabout in the gym. My trainer left me a HRM for our cardio equipment, so if my knees will cooperate I am going to do some TM work.

B - hot Click Vanilla Latte

L - sardines and salad (I have been on a sardine kick -weird!)

S - protein shake

   - celery, carrots

D - rotisserie chicken, salad

S  - protein shake

turkey bacon, ww tortilla , tomato

I need to get back to staying on top of my food again, especially with the holidays approaching - so thanks for starting this thread. And I lost my Dad 7+ years ago - allow yourself some grace during this difficult time.

Breakfast: 1/2 apple with 1/2 chobani champions very berry greek yogurt, some chedder cheese with about 3 crackers

Lunch: Leftover chili with a bit of shredded cheese sprinkled on top, a few bites of leftover roasted chicken

Supper: Out to eat - 1/4 burger w/o bun, a few waffle fries with seasoned dip, a couple carrot sticks with ranch (had one glass of diet pepsi before eating).

After supper snacks: had one super small scoop of ice cream with my kids. Will probably finish my apple and yogurt later tonight.

Wish I could add exercise but major foot issues have me in a walking boot for the moment. Am thinking I may have to give swimming some more serious thought - of course I don't have a swimsuit that fits at the moment either....
