No. You have a consult and they might do an EKG and an echocardiogram in the office then but if they want a nuclear stress test they schedule it and you get to come back. I guess that depends on what they read from the EKG and the echo. A nuclear stress test takes time and mine was done in 2 parts. First without dye then they inject dye, you get up and walk and drink to move the dye out of yout stomach and distribute it thru your body then lie back down for part two. I also was given a banana to eat to move the dye around. All was fine. Preventative CYA I am sure. But it is your heart.
