Bariatric Foodie, I heart you!
After trying yet another protein shake sample (Jay Robb's) and not feeling the love, (with quite the assortment of canisters on my counter), I started searching "hate protein shakes" on OH. And lo and behold, I seem to have found the answer to all our hopes and dreams: a tremendous resource of protein recipes in the form of shakes, hot drinks, desserts, etc. I'm so excited, I want to cry. Thank you, Cleopatra_Nik!
She does have some good ones! :)
In case you have any Jay Robb's left, I like a few of the flavors mixed with Crystal Light. Just a suggestion if you want to try to use up something you already have. Good luck! Finding a protein shake you enjoy can be quite tricky!

I was just out from surgery I also had a really hard time with protein. That's what got me started playing with my food. And a few years later here we are still doing it!
Thanks for this post it really made my day.
RNY Gastric Bypass 1-8-08 350/327/200 (HW/SW/CW). I spend most of my time playing with my food over at Bariatric Foodie - check me out!
Ditto to above sentiments...Bariatric Foodie and Eggface are like the bible of post-wls cooking. I have found that I can't go wrong with any of their recipes! Those two sites alone have single handedly taught me how to cook for the first time in my life...and now, I can actually adjust recipes onsite to suit my tastes...something I could never do before and the sign of a true cook, IMO.
I share in thanking these two incredible pioneers in bariatric cooking!
Enjoy!
nik - Thank you so much for your blog! My 1/4 surgery date got cancelled to to my thyroid levels being way off. I am faithfully taking them and will retest in a month and hope they are good enough to reschedule. In the meantime, I have been reading several blogs and the boards for all sorts of good ideas when I need them.
