Pain in upper left side of stomach/abdomen. 3 years out, need some help!

Hi,  I have been having pain in my upper left side a few hours after eating for a month now on and off.  When the pain comes, I feel nauseated, bloated, and sometimes a little gassy.   It is getting worse, and just wondering if this is normal, or what it could be?

Thanks!

Do you still have your gallbladder?

your gall bladder is on your right.  Your left is your spleen and portion of your stomach.   It could be gas or it could be radiating pain from somewhere else. I would check with your doc just to be on the safe side

Yea, it is time to see a doctor.  It could be something very minor but it could also be something major.  Whatever it is, it is not normal.

GB pain starts in the middle right near the breast bone and then travels to the right and then the pain settles into the bac****il the attack is over.

Is it possible that you are eating too fast or too much? Have you been adding foods to your diet that you have not had before? Maybe that is the source of your discomfort because you mentioned it is after eating . . .

I would get in contact with your surgeon and go over what has been going on with you but until then you can evaluate what you have been eating and see if you can narrow it down from there.

When I had pain on the left side turns out it was pancreatitis. That was caused be a gall bladder problem. After the GB was removed the pancreas improved and the pain went away.

I wouldn't play around with the pain. Suggest you call the surgeon.
