I was originally denied September 2011, then again December 2012...

Well- I submitted my appeal around Christmas and just got the call today!!
It was actually Aetnas nurse checking up- she had no idea I personally had not been told yet.. needless to say it was hard for me to believe her- After we hung up I called my Dr.s office and left a message (still waiting for them to return my call) and then called the main Aetna number where they pulled up that I HAVE BEEN APPROVED AS OF THE 15th!!!

I have no clue if this is legible- I am shaking at the moment with excitement!

Why did Aetna deny your first submission? I have atena and my doctor's office sent over my paper work today! I'm praying it goes through.

The first time they didn't think I tried enough in the 6 month diet (bs)

The second time (December 2012) said I had to be morbidly obese for 2 years (....which I had been!)

Aetna will probably say no- prepare for that- they say no with hope that we'll give up and they wont have to pay anything.

Be prepared to fight and don't give up!!!!

My plan only required me to have 4 months of nutritional visits (done) be obese for 2 years (done) see a psychiatrist (done) and I've done those things. I am keeping it in perspective though. I won't give up!!!
