skin removal
You would see a plastic surgeon. Usually they want you to wait until your weight has been stable for several months at least before doing plastics, but a surgeon can tell you more.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
How tall are you? Unless you are very tall, why stop at 172?
I had my arms done in 2009. They cost me 3900. It can vary greatly depending on what part of the country you are in.

I had my arms, a tummy tuck and breast lift with implants done 17 months after I maintained my goal weight. I don't recommend you rush into getting them done, most reputable plastic surgeons prefer you be maintaining for 18 months before proceeding with plastics.
Interview several plastic surgeons and you want to find one that has done work on weight loss people they have the most experience with our skin issues.
Pricing is going to vary based on location. My procedures cost me $17,962 total, all done at one time.

You definitely want to be sure your weight is stable before proceeding, because losing or gaining weight can really affect how good the surgical work looks.
Prices vary a lot by geographical location and surgeon, and are lower if the surgeon uses a surgical center rather than a full service hospital. I had insurance pay for my panniculectomy, then I paid for my arm lift (~$5500), mons lift (~$1500), and tummy tuck ($7700). The surgeon I used utilized a surgery center that had overnight facilities but focused only on surgical recovery.
When you are deciding who to use, be sure to ask to see LOTS of before and after pictures... Not just a couple of his BEST outcomes.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Thanks everyone for the replies, the PCP said 150 would be way to small before skin removal, I have alot on my arms and legs the belly is not so bad...anyhow he said the arms should be between 12 to 20 lbs of skin I am going to make an appointment with my surgeon next week and see what her thoughts are.....I am praying I pray don't have to wait another year to do the arms, I am very embarrassed of them and no way would I wear a short sleeve shirt with them looking like this... but also I never dreamed of it costing that much I don't have insurance that will cover it so I guess I better start looking into the price and save save save lol
I'd be shocked if the skin on your arms weighed 12 to 20lbs!!! In fact, I'd be surprised if ALL your excess skin weighed anywhere near that much unless you have a lot of fat still attached to it ...
Don't want you to be disappointed when you have the skin removed and you remain roughly the same weight - which is what happens to most of us!
