Surgery was yesterday. Still in the hospital hoping.to be out of here soon. But the pain was nothing like what I thought it would be. To be honest it felt like really bad period cramps. So if the pain might be something stopping you. Please dont let it. I am a huge baby and although this Isnt something I want to do again it's not Nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

That's great news!  I would recommend staying on top of your pain meds and liquids so that you can continue to feel well - at least as well as can be expected.  I also had a very easy time of it, with not too much pain, and no complications.  We hear a lot of the horror stories, so it's important to remember that most of us do pretty well.  Hope you get to go home soon and sleep in your own bed!

I sleep on my side and.to be honest this bed sucked. But if that's the small price I had to pay its worth it plus you drugged up.

I felt the same way after my surgery! I was prepared for intense pain and didn't!! After a day at home Tylenol was all that I needed for discomfort. Now, go walk and sip kiss

So far I.have been getting my water down with no people even more then they ask for. Did you have a drain that you had to pull out yourself the next day? I'm a little scared of that.

No, I didn't have a drain after my RNY but did after I had the belly skin removal. It sounds worse than it is. It's more like a tickle odd feeling, but not painful if it isn't scabbed to your skin. It should be fine if they are having you do it.
