Reflux: What do you take?
I have been having reflux problems for about six months now. I have tried pepcid (seems to work the best so far), prilosec, and some new prescription med my doc gave me (it was timed release so it didn't work well). I take a dose of mylanta every night before bed also. Any suggestions on something to try? I have had a lot of stress lately, my daughter just got married last weekend and I have started training as a midwife. I am at my wits end.

I take OTC omeprozole. When it gets really bad I take that 2 x a day.

Carafate liquid from the doc works well for me. Gavascon seems to take my heartburn away for a long time. Protonix from the doc is amazing - took it before surgery for acid reflux that was eating my esophagus. Cleared that right up. Don't do timed released if you're a post op. Your doc should know that. Find something that works with our new pouch and will give you relief.

Thanks for all the comments. Maybe I can get straightened out before long.
