What am I doing wrong???
I had my surgery early September... I started at 240. I'm now 188 and have been for over a month now. Nothing is changing! What are the best ways to kick start something to get over this plateau!
I should be loosing....
What are easy snacks I can take to school with me and munch on throughout the day? Maybe I should be doing a change up there.
How much water do you all consume? I do lack in that area...
How many carbs do you stick with? Maybe I'm eating too many...
I don't get a lot of time during the week to workout but on the weekends I'm training for a 1/2 marathon so I get in several miles of jogging.
Pretty much I'm desperate! I'm embarrassed to go to my 6month check up in a few weeks having only lost 12lbs since my 3month. And it's definately not for the lack of trying!
Go to your appointment so you can talk to your doctor and dietician about your long stall. They are there to help you. They can help you figure out what needs to change.
About how many calories do you eat in an average day? How much liquid do you get? How much protein?
I drink around a gallon of liquid a day, more than 100 oz.
Easy snacks? How about nuts, roasted chickpeas, protein bars, string cheese, yogurt, raw veggies, or fruit?

I agree with Kelly. We need more info. How many calories a day are you eating? Are you tracking your food? If not, start doing so. How tall are you?

See, it's pretty hard to say what, if anything, you're doing wrong when you aren't even sure what you are doing. Try keeping a food log for a few days.

Yes, you've gotten this far. And I understand you want advice. But we can't advise you about what to do differently if we don't know what you are doing now.

I think you misinterpreted the comment about you not knowing what you are doing. I'm pretty sure that Kelly's point is the same thought that I had: you asked us to tell you what you are doing wrong but then DIDN'T KNOW how many calories, etc. you are consuming. So, if you don't know how many calories, how much protein, how many carbs, you DON'T really know what you are consuming and it makes it next to impossible for anyone to give you any advice.
If you track your food for a few days and then come back with your protein, calorie, carb, and fat counts, and can give s a couple of sample menus, we can do more than just give general advice that may or may not apply to you.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Snacks I like to eat are cheese sticks, yogurt, and protein shakes. I also eat dry protein cereal.
