burning, gurgling, tenderness...???

I"m 13 months out and have had a very well behaved pouch until recently.  About a week ago, I started having burning pain in my pouch for the first time ever...which gets worse when I eat or drink.  My bowels have also suddenly become very vocal and I have a lot of gurgling...much, much more than before.  I also feel some tenderness to touch, primarily around my pouch, but I also think my abdomen is a bit swollen.  

I emailed my bariatric centre and they have me scheduled for an endoscopy in approximately a week.  They also prescribed me a PPI (acid reducer) since I'm not currently taking one.  Do these symptoms sound consistent with an ulcer?  Should I be worrying about a bowel obstruction?  The pain is not overwhelming or horribly intense...but its enough that I contacted my bariatric centre.  I don't have any nausea or vomitting and I"m passing stool fine, although i"ve got a bit of constipation, but I changed iron supplements at the same time the symptoms showed up since my usual ones are on back order.

Anyone care to share any ideas based on their own experiences with ulcers, bowel obstructions or other long term complications?
