herbal life

Has anyone tried Herbal Life? I am using it, and I love the protien shakes I've lost inches and 8lbs in 1 month. I know this is not much compared to someone who's had the surgery. I haven't had the surgery yet, So I'm wondering if I should just continue with Herbal Life?? I am really scared of dumping, vomiting, and the other side effects of the surgery heart

Sorry the only person I ever knew who used it and then began selling it died tragically from cancer in her late forties.  Obviously that scared me enough to never try it.

I tried Herbal Life once! I lost about 20 pounds in less than 2 months, then I gained it all back and then some! It obviously did not work out for me.  You can continue with it if you don't think you are ready for a surgery.  Not everyone dumps or vomits.  I have not had a single episode like that so that shouldn't scare you. Good luck.

Yup, tried it and lost weight, gained it right back plus some extra. Herbalife does nothing to teach you how to maintain a healthy weight.  Why would they?  If you gain it back, you can buy more of their products to lose it again...

I used it several years ago.  Lost 70 lbs and felt great.  The only problem was I went off the diet and went back to my old ways and gained the majority of it back.  That is the problem with diets, we quit and go back to our old ways and get the same result.  Weight loss surgery can end up with same result as well.  It is not a cure all.  It is a tool that causes you to lose weight rapidly and kind of forces you to change your eating habits for about a year.  After that, if you go back to your old ways you will regain the weight all over again. The key here is permanent eating ha*****ange.

If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got.

thank you everyone, for your replies, I honestly looked at all the ingredients and they contain a lot of sugar disguised in different wording. The lady who introduced me keeps bugging me to order, order , order, and of course she makes money. But I'm not that easily persuaded to try something I don't feel is healthy for me. The shakes contains soy, which I've read causes cancer. I just don't know how to get rid of her??

I just don't know how to get rid of her??

Tell her that after research you don't believe her product is for you, and that you would not be ordering it anymore.  If she insists and keeps pushing, tell her that you honestly don't believe her product should be sold at all, and if she keeps pushing you, you are going to start a smear campaign against it.  She probably will stop then.  You might lose her as a friend, but if she was a true friend, she wouldn't be pushy.  Good luck!  :)

I know, I've stayed away, and I saw her yesterday and she called me a cheater for not going and weighing in every week. I lost 8lbs in 1 month without taking the herbal life I've cut back on my eating and started doing protein shakes in the morning to get ready for surgery. And she doesn't believe me. surprise

Who cares if she doesn't believe you?  Ignore her.  Seriously, I wouldn't even acknowledge her existence.

So what if she doesn't believe you?  You're not accountable to her.  You don't have to order her shakes if you don't want them, regardless of why you don't want them.

If telling her to stop bugging you doesn't work, you could contact the company and tell them that one of their sales people is harrassing you.
