When did you begin to eat berries?
I am 5 weeks out of surgery, and in my "healthy weight for life" stage of eating. I am dying for strawberries, blueberries, raspberries...Just wondering if I should wait a little longer or if these are ok to start to add? My diet plan says to start with softer fruits at first, like pears, bananas, peaches. I am a bit concerned about the small seeds.
(btw, I am getting all my protein in every day, so the berries would be a fresh treat once in a while)
Thanks so much for the input!
I think about a month or so post op.

I didn't do so well on them for quite a while, but my pouch has always been kind of iffy. Maybe check with your surgeon's office or just try a bite or two at first to see if you tolerate them.

6 weeks for me....chewed up REALLY well. Started slowly to see how they sat . Now i have strawberries or raspberries almost everyday in my yogurt. I had the most trouble with anything with a skin...apples, pears, grapes...had to peel. My pouch still doesn't like them much if not peeled at a year out.
