an easier way to get protein in?

This may be a nuts question, but where else can I bring these questions to besides here, or okay My Dr. but its Sunday night.  Some woman I ran into today insists that I need to take Blue Green Algae because it has so much protein in it.  Does anyone know anything about that?  I'm not a big meat eater but I'm wondering if this is a hoax.  Does anyone on here take or have taken this stuff?  Is it a viable form of protein for us?  Just wonderin......  Thanks!

There are many blue green algae types and I don't know if the nutritional value is equal on all of them or not.  Some, not sure if all, may have protein but from what I have read it is no higher than what you would get with meats plus it seems to be about 3x as expensive per gram as meats and other proteins.

I wish I could offer some good studies, and there may be some but I haven't run across them.  I'd do a search for more info before taking it.  I'd also wonder if it is a complete enough protein to have the nutrients we need in order to absorb it.
