Ulcer question, alcohol.

Do ulcers heal and go away or do they basically lay dormant until something upsets them?? I went away overnight with my husband and went to the casino. Well, I got caught up in the moment and had 5 White Russians over a period of 7 hours. Well last night was just an awful nights sleep. I had such bad pouch pains I was up all night. Idk if it was the alcohol, or if the alcohol "woke up" my ulcer or if it was something else I ate. After I had my breakfast this morning, yogurt, the pain did settle and it eventually went away.
On a side not, it is so not worth drinking. I'd have a drink, feel a little tipsy and about 3-5 minutes later I was sober. Did they taste good?? Yes, but just not worth it at all. Wanted to try it, I tried it. Will I have a drink again?? Probably. But it will be very occasionally.
