I'm 5 weeks out and the past week I've noticed that I'm beginning to feel hungry!!  Is this normal?  I'm still around 700 calories a day but I'm getting in 70 grams of protein!!  I ate three hours ago and I'm hungry.  I use to go 6 hours and have to remind myself to eat!!

Thank you!!!

It's normal for hunger to return at some point.  It happens sooner for some than for others.  I eat about every three hours - I'd be starving if I went six hours between meals.

I agree with Kelly--everyone is different! You might also want to consider your fluid intake as well. I feel "hungry" when I haven't had enough water throughout the day. Otherwise, I don't truly feel hunger. I usually eat every 3-4 hours, too.

This is a wonderful tip that I discovered about 2 months ago.  When I get "hungry", I drink.  Has helped a lot.

Surgery weight:  232 lbs. / Goal: 145 lbs. Height:  5'5"     Fat? Ain't nobody got time for that.

Thank you, Kelly!

I had cottage cheese for breakfast and I'm thinking it does not stick as well as an egg does for me!!  I've only gone 6 hours once, but man I was not hungry at all!!  I was hoping to keep that not hungry feeling away for awhile longer!!

I've had 30 ounces of water in the last 4 hours.

I just started my second 30 ounce!!  I do try to keep on drinking all day!!!

I'm 18 months out and I notice that also.  That is when I get in the refrig and pull out the leftover that I couldn't finish at lunch or dinner.  Frequently it just takes a bite or two to satisfy the hunger and it's better than having it gnaw at you for a couple of hours or until the next meal.
