Is this what I can expect from here on out?
OK, I count my weight loss from the start of my pre-op diet, which started 4 months ago today. Here is my weight loss for each month:
1: 26.8
2: 10.6
3: 13.8
4: 7.4
Can I expect to lose only 7-8 pounds per month now? I know, at the weight I'm at now, that is actually pretty good, but I was hoping for 10lbs per month for a couple more months at least.
Not necessarily, although it's really difficult for anyone to try and figure out how each of us will lose. In my 4th month I lost 11.7 lbs.
How tall are you? We started at a similar weight. My consult weight was 260.9, I'm 5'1"

You can not count on a certain amount of pounds to lose in a specific time frame. You can expect to lose weight within the first 18-24 months after surgery when the malabsorption of calories is the greatest.
We are in such a rush to lose the weight, but the real challenge is maintaining the weight loss. Remember, this is a life style change.
Initially losing the weight is not where the success is measured. Take it one day at a time and enjoy the journey for the rest of your life. Every day has something good to offer if you are receptive to the possibilities.
Peace.
I hope I did offend you, that was certainly not my intention!
What I was trying to say is that month to month the amount of weight loss can vary quite a bit. In the first 7 months I lost approximately 12 pounds a month (I had already lost 50 pounds during my 3 month pre-op diet). After month 7, the pounds per month varied wildly with no rhyme or reason.
I am a planner and am very organized by nature. I create all sorts of charts and graphs for my motivation. During the weight loss "Honeymoon" phase, the only thing I could count on was sticking to the rules.
I am also a control freak and want to see everything in black and white. I have never gone off the RNY eating plan guidelines since surgery. I am very strict with myself because I have dealt with being all sorts of weights since childhood. During the RNY weight loss phase in my life, I learned to trust myself and my body.
I understand we are all different and come into the weight loss journey with different expectations and certainly end with different outcomes.
The bottom line that I was trying to express is that we can't expect anything, but we can all have hope that we will achieve our desires if we are diligent. Peace.
7-10 would probably be pretty typical. Have you checked the OH weight loss planner? It was pretty accurate for me. I am also 5'7".
