I went to a infertility specialist yesterday and she verified that I in fact am ovulating and should be able to get pregnant. Which is great news because prior to WLS I was told by two specialist that I had unexplained infertility. We went the clomid route but stopped when we didnt get pregnant after 2 cycles. Long story short we have been trying for years to get pregnant and I got great news yesterday. But I wanted to see if I do get pregnant would I have to have a c Section or can i have natural.

There is no reason you cannot have a vaginal birth.

Surgery weight:  232 lbs. / Goal: 145 lbs. Height:  5'5"     Fat? Ain't nobody got time for that.

I was told by a friend that is a nurse that due to straining they would probaby want to do C Section but if I could do it natural that would be better for recovery

Unless you have some other reason (pelvic size, etc.) you can have a vaginal delivery.  Even women who have had previous c-sections can have successful vaginal deliveries.

Congratulations, I hope you get pregnant soon.

I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant with my first child and I'm 2 years post-op from my gastric bypass.  There's no reason, from an RNY standpoint, that you can't have a natural childbirth.  Heck, I've had an RNY and a recent (like 3 weeks ago) open-abdomen ovarian cyst surgery and I'm still having a natural childbirth. As the surgeon said, "I didn't touch your uterus, there's no reason you can't have a normal childbirth."  I'm using a midwife in a hospital setting for my birth.

There is nothing about having a RNY that would preclude a vaginal birth.  Everyone, in fact, that I know who has had children since their surgery have delivered naturally.
