Ham

I have had my first bad issue since my RNY. I ate a piece of ham like as in ham that goes on a sandwich. It was dumping but I felt tightness in my pouch. I know I wasn't suppose to eat it. I was trying to see if I could tolerate it. I guess the answer to my own question is a big fat no. I puked several times. ughhhh!!! BTW I am a little over 2 weeks out. I know, I know I was a bad girl for a minute but that was an eye opener.

Did you chew it up really good? I had ham on Easter and I was 3 weeks out and I chewed it till it was mush in my mouth and didn't have any problem. But your still early and should still be on liquids right? Don't ru**** and push yourself. You need time to let your pouch heal.

Best Wishes!!

Yes I did chew it up really good. I will be starting soft foods next tuesday. I can already have strained soups, mashed potatoes, sf popsicles, sf puddings. also that was suppose to say in my original statement that I was not dumping but tightness in the pouch. Next week i will be able to have chicken ,turkey, any kind of meat that is soft and can be chewed really well.
