Is pb a good snack or meal? Are nuts?

I personally do Almonds for snack almost every day. I was told that nuts, as long as the salt isnt to high, is great for the protein and oil. I do PB and low sugar jelly on 1 piece of toast every now and again for something different.

My dietitian says nuts and peanut butter are a good source of healthy fats as long as you watch portion size. I always measure out my allotment and put the rest away.

My nut says PB is fine in reasonable amounts, but hasn't mentioned nuts yet. I'm only a little over 3 weeks out.

I do raw almonds and string cheese together, I like the taste.

PEANUT BUTTER on the other hand I can't do because it is something I can't have in the house. I use PB2 from the health food store , you add a bit of water to it and I LOVE IT, 45 cals, 5 grms of protein and 1 grm fat (?) for 2 tablespoons. my husband would rather have the regular , and so would I but I would eat the whole jar so it is not worth it.

PB2 all the way

Two Tbs of PB is almost 200 calories. Put that with a few crackers and you are looking at almost 300 calories, so be sure and measusre and be careful. It can be more than a meal if you don'****ch it. I have 2 tbs and 4 crackers for a snack most evenings but I plan that into my daily total calories. Which is now up to 1200 per day.

love me some pb2!!!!!!   I put two tablespoons in my chocolate protein shake and it's so delicious!  I'm a crack addict for regular peanut butter so I'm avoiding it for now.  it's a kids only food in my house.  I really love raw almonds and count out a half  serving every few days.  Im just over 4  months so i continue to chew them really well....makes me feel lik a little chipmunk!

I am a fan of tree nuts not peanuts, I eat them every day because of the crunch factor and they are healthy.

Sometimes I eat PB and mini crackers as a meal. Have to watch the amount though cause the calories can creep up on you pretty quick. Good for protein though!!
